I was a bit of a geek in high school, a member of the debating club, the model United Nations and an avid participant in public speaking competitions. I had to think on my feet and come up with ideas and arguments that were compelling, a skill that I use to this day.
When I was 17 my guidance counselor said I didn’t have a chance of being a Page at the House of Commons and not to bother filling out the paperwork. I ignored his advice, pursued it on my own and in the end I was 1 of 40 Canadian graduates selected for the program.
Angele started her career working for OgilvyOne in Toronto where she first developed her passion for managing integrated marketing campaigns. While there Angele worked on Levi’s, Kraft, American Express and Glaxo Wellcome. Angele further honed her skills at OgilvyOne in New York where she worked on the IBM account managing their global B2C PC program. Before joining Rivet in 2004, she was working in the UK directing CRM and B2C programs for HP, Toshiba and Nintendo. In the last four years at Rivet, Angele has been the senior lead on some of the agency’s biggest clients including: SC Johnson, Fairmont and CIBC.
Angele is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the agency, including staffing, training, development and senior client relationships.
